Ukraine exports 6 million tonnes of grain in 2008-09
As of September 26, Ukraine has exported nearly 6 million tonnes of grain in marketing year 2008-09, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy on Tuesday (September 30, 2008).
Exports included 2.92 million tonnes of wheat, 2.65 million tonnes of barley, 421,000 tonnes of corn and 20,400 tonnes of other grains.
The Ministry said Ukraine shipped 2.16 million tonnes of grain in August, including 927,000 tonnes of wheat and 1.11 million tonnes of barley.
Since the start of this marketing year, Ukraine has exported 1.036 million tonnes of oilseeds, including 1.035 million tonnes of rapeseed.
