North Vietnam's First Poultry Abattoir Kicks Off Next Year

Construction work will begin end of the month on a 49,000 sq m poultry slaughterhouse in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi.

This will be the first such slaughterhouse in the northern capital city, which will be located in the suburban district of Dong Anh.

At a cost of nearly 12 billion VND, this new facility will be equipped with Dutch technology, and will greatly improve poultry slaughter and hygiene. This first abattoir is slated to open next year.

At the same time, construction of a 7.5-ha super-market has already began in Hanoi, at an estimated cost of 30 million USD. This will be the largest supermarket in the capital.
