Brazilian Poultry Exports Threatened By Russia-US Deal

Being excluded from the Russian re-distribution of quotes for poultry imports in 2003 looks unfavourable for Brazil. The country had removed restrictions for poultry, hog and cattle meat sales from the US, which means an expected US$700mil income through 1mil m tons of poultry per year. The Brazilian exporters conquered quote of 33,000 m tons in comparison to 295,000 m tons sales until 2002.
