Russian wheat prices down
Prices of Russian domestic wheat prices pushed downwards last week, Andrey Sizov. Jr., managing director of Moscow-based think tank SovEcon said Thursday (Sep 29).
Domestic prices for third-grade milling wheat have fallen to RUB6,200 (US$193.76) a tonne, while fourth-grade milling wheat fell 1.6% to RUB6,100 (US$191.4) per tonne. Feed wheat and feed barley also fell 0.5% to RUB5,200 (US$163.2) per tonne.
Sizov Jr. said that despite the slightly lower prices, export demand is pretty strong and thinks Russia will be able to export just below four million tonnes of wheat in September."
