China's 2012 soyoil, soy imports to climb
Oil World projected that China will import 1.56 million tonnes of soyoil between October 2011 and September 2012, up from 1.51 million tonnes in the previous 12 months.
The German oilseed industry magazine also said that the country's imports of palm oil and soy in the same period may reach 6.67 million tonnes and 58.3 million tonnes respectively, more than the 6.06 million tonnes and 53.1 million tonnes recorded between October 2010 and September 2011.
The magazine also forecast that the country's palm oil output will decrease to 4.65 million tonnes in the 12 months ending in September 2012 compared with the 4.79 million tonnes in the previous 12 months.
