Vietnam's seafood exports up by 26%

 

 

Vietnam is estimated to have earned US$4.393 billion from seafood exports for the first nine months of this year, representing an on year increase of 26.4%, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said last week.

 

The GSO said that the country's seafood exports are expected at US$600 million in September as compared to US$614 million in August.

 

The statistics showed that during January-September, the Southeast Asian country has spent US$357 million on imports of aquatic materials, including US$45 million in September and US$57 million in August.

 

Seafood exports brought about US$5 billion to Vietnam last year. The country expects the exports to increase to US$5.5 billion this year.
