Vietnamese animal feed imports reach US$1.741 billion this year
Vietnam spent approximately US$1.741 billion on animal feed and material imports between January and September this year, according to the General Statistics Office.
The figure represented an on year increase of 2.8%, the office said.
In September, the country bought animal feed and materials for its production worth US$180 compared to US$199 million in the previous month.
Last year, Vietnam imported US$2.7 billion of raw materials to make animal feed, compared to US$2.1 billion in 2009.
The country is expected to import about US$3 billion of raw materials for animal feed this year.
