Ukraine to export grains to EU tax free
Ukraine will be allowed to export 1.6 million tonnes of grains to EU without paying tax in 2013, once a free trade agreement is signed by both parties, according to a Bloomberg report.
Ukraine will be permitted to export 950,000 tonnes of wheat, 250,000 tonnes of barley and 400,000 tonnes of corn, Halyna Karpa, spokeswoman at the Agriculture Ministry in Kiev said that Ukraine will be able to increase shipments without duties to two million tonnes within a five year period.
Ukraine, a country of 46 million people, aims to sign a so called association agreement with the EU, by mid-December, First Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Klyuev said.
