Russia's grain harvest to reach 95-100 million tonnes
Russian grain harvest will total 95-100 million tonnes this year, according to agriculture minister Alexei Gordeyev.
Farmers have harvested 82 percent or 38 million hectares, and the harvesting is coming to an end. Figures show that the crop has totalled 98.5 million tonnes of grain and legumes, said Gordeyev.
The crop is expected to reach a level of 95-100 million tonnes in clear weight, up 19.5 million tonnes on-year.
Russia harvested a total of 81.8 million tonnes of grain in 2007.
