Chinese producers slash lysine prices amid dwindling demand

Lysine prices dropped considerably during the week ending September 22.

Sales of lysine slowed after buyers have stockpiled sufficient inventories to last until mid-October. Eager to clear mounting stocks, producers slashed prices in efforts to stimulate demand, but to no avail.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were lower at RMB4.80-5/kg respectively.
