US grants wheat to Jordan to support economic reforms
US granted 50,000 tonnes of wheat worth US$19 million to Jordan in appreciation for its economic reforms, according a Bloomberg report.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jaafar Hassan, who is currently on a working visit in the US.
The wheat, part of the US government's food assistance programme, will help boost strategic reserves at the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade, it said.
