Vietnam to grow 520,000 hectares of winter crops

 

 

Vietnam intends to cultivate 520,000ha of winter crops this year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's Cultivation Department.

 

Vietnam will plant 157,000 ha of corn this year compared to 149,000 ha in the last winter crop while soy area will rise to 85,000ha from 83,000ha.

 

The department said that the delay of autumn rice in many localities in the country's northern provinces will have negative impacts on winter crops.
