Ukraine agrees to grow barley for Saudi Arabia

The Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry is planning to sign a contract with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Agriculture in November for helping them grow barley.

"In early November, I will make a visit to Saudi Arabia, which will enable us to sign an agreement to finance the growing of barley," the official said.

He also added that at the last meeting with the finance minister of Saudi Arabia, it had been agreed to finance the growing of barley in Ukraine.

"We proposed that, this form of financial support be based on the principle of forward purchases," the minister said.
