Ukraine's grain exports up 9%
UkrAgroConsult said Friday (Sep 16) since the beginning of the present season, Ukraine's grain exports rose 9%.
Ukraine has shipped 2.6 million tonnes of grains this season as compared with 2.39 tonnes a year earlier, Sergey Feofilov, general director of UkrAgroConsult said.
The wheat marketing year runs from July 2011 to June 2012.
Wheat shipments out of Ukraine from September 1-13 totalled 315,000 tonnes. The wheat was destined for the EU, Egypt and Tunisia.
