Tyson to acquire three Brazilian companies
US food giant Tyson Foods Inc. announce today the acquisition of three Brazilian companies, reported local news service Estado late Wednesday (September 17).
The report said that Tyson's acquisitions will be within Brazil's animal protein sector.
The arrival of Tyson in Brazil would be the first step for the US giant into the Brazilian market. Tyson reported revenue of US$26.9 billion in 2007, Estado reported.
Brazil is the world's top chicken and beef exporter.
