Hormel Foods has condemned the abusive acts of workers at an Iowa pig farm, which was revealed in an undercover video taken by PETA.

The video showed workers hitting sows with metal rods, slamming piglets on a concrete floor and bragging about jamming rods up into sows' hindquarters. The video also shows piglets being castrated and having their tails cut off without anesthesia.

The farm supplies Hormel Foods who said the abuses are completely unacceptable and that they are currently working with their supplier to ensure that the abuses no longer happen.

Hormel Foods also said the supplier is investigating this matter and will take appropriate disciplinary actions, including terminating employees.
