Restrictions on Netherland's poultry entering Russia imposed
Temporary restrictions had been imposed on poultry imports from the Netherlands entering Russia, said the Federation's veterinary authority, Rosselkhoznadzor, following recent outbreaks of avian influenza in Europe.
The measures will affect poultry sourced from the provinces of Overijssel and South Holland.
Since a food embargo that started in August last year, Russia has not imported poultry from the Netherlands, although deliveries could still find their way through illegal channels.
