Butterball acquires Powell Feed and Milling Co.

Butterball, the largest producer of turkey products in US, has acquired Powell Feed and Milling Co. that manages two feed mills, contract farmers and 80 associates in Green Forest, Arkansas.  

"We are pleased to welcome former Powell associates to the Butterball team and look forward to quickly integrating them into our company," said Rod Brenneman, chief executive officer at Butterball, LLC.

"With three facilities located in Arkansas, Butterball has long been a supporter of the local economy and this strategic decision will help us to strengthen our turkey operations in the region."

In addition to the new Powell holdings, Butterball has facilities in Arkansas located in Jonesboro, Huntsville and Ozark. The Huntsville and Ozark facilities produce whole birds - fresh and frozen - in addition to tray pack parts, boneless roasts, bone-in breasts and bulk parts. The Jonesboro facility is a further processing facility and produces deli products.
