Ukrainian January-August meat production up 5.6%

The State Statistics Service has reported that Ukraine's meat production increased 5.6% from January-August to 1.875 million tonnes as compared to the same period last year.

Egg production grew by 12.2% to 12.917 billion eggs, while milk production declined 2.2% to 7.697 million tonnes.

In 2010, meat production amounted to 2.059 million tonnes, egg production reached 17.052 billion tonnes, and milk production reached 11.248 million tonnes.
