Ukraine's January-July meat imports down 50%

 

 

A significant decline in Ukraine's imports of various food products such as meat decreased by 50%, dairy products by about 4% while exports increased during the same period, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food reported.

 

For example, meat imports to Ukraine fell from 190,000 tonnes in January-July 2010 to 95,000 tonnes in January-July 2011. At the same time, exports of meat increased from 30,000 tonnes to 45,000 tonnes.

 

The imports of dairy products decreased from 16,100 tonnes in January-July 2010 to 15,500 tonnes in January-July 2011 while exports of dairy products rose from 95,000 tonnes to 100,000 tonnes.
