Novus' Alimet facility sustains zero flooding
Press Release

Novus International Inc. has announced that they sustained no flood damage at their Alimet production facility as a result of tidal surges and rain from Hurricane Ike.

A large portion of the Texas Gulf Region is experiencing electricity outages due to storm damage, complete restart of the facility will be contingent on the restoration of this utility infrastructure. Novus personnel were evacuated prior to landfall of the storm and there were no injuries.

"Our initial and primary concern was to ensure the safety of employees and their families,''stated Thad Simons, President and CEO, Novus International Inc.

Simons added that they will now focus on a fast and complete return to operation.

Giovanni Gasperoni, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, said Novus Alimet product inventory is distributed throughout the world and was not impacted by the storm.

Some Novus business partners have experienced varying degrees of storm related damage. Novus personnel are currently working with these partner organisations to assess this damage and to aid in their return to full capacity operation, which will allow Novus to return to normal operation.

Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, US, Novus International serves customers in more than 80 countries with its animal nutrition and health products.
