Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) export revenues up

Vietnam's top shrimp exporter Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) collected export revenues of US$194.6 million in the first eight months of 2011, up 48.5% as compared to the same period last year.

The figure met 54% of its annual target, the Dau tu Chung Khoan newspaper reported September 12.

MPC exported over 16,089 tonnes of shrimp during the period, up 27.38% on year, the newspaper said.

In 2011, the shrimp exporter targets export revenues of US$360 million.
