Brazil's pig slaughter rose 2.4% in Q2 2024 year-on-year
In the second quarter of 2024, 14.55 million head of pigs in Brazil were slaughtered, representing an increase of 2.4% compared to the second quarter of 2023.
The amount was also an increase of 4.3% compared to the first quarter of 2024.
The cumulative weight of carcasses reached 1.34 million tonnes in Q2 2024, representing an increase of 0.9% compared to Q2 2023, and an increase of 4.8% compared to Q1 2024.
