Russia reports increased pace of grain export

Russia exported 3.315 million tonnes of grain between the beginning of the current marketing year July 1 and Sept. 8, including 2.961 million tonnes of wheat and 354,000 tonnes of barley, the Agriculture Ministry said Thursday (September 11).

The ministry said the amount of grain exported to date was about 50% more than the amount exported in the corresponding period last year.

Grain exports in August were 2.371 million tonnes, including 2.183 million tonnes of wheat and 188,000 tonnes of barley.
