Two AWB units accredited as bulk wheat exporters
Regulator Wheat Exports Australia said Thursday (September 11) it accredited two units of agribusiness AWB Ltd. (AWB.AU) as bulk wheat exporters.
The units are AWB Harvest Finance Ltd. and AWB (Australia) Ltd., bringing to 13 the number of accreditations since export arrangements changed on July 1, the regulator's acting chief executive, Peter Woods, said.
Woods said WEA has other bulk wheat export applications under consideration and is still receiving applications.
"The fact that we have now accredited 13 exporters, including AWB, will provide greater confidence to wheat growers and the industry for marketing and exporting the coming wheat harvest," he added.
