Australian meat and bone meal prices strengthens in August
Australian Meat and bone meal prices averaged US$610.67/tonne during August, up $61.78/tonne compared with July and US$191.29/tonne stronger than the same time last year, according to Meat & Livestock Australia.
Meat and bone meal values are expected to weaken this month, continued to be driven by softer Indonesian demand and falling soy meal prices. Blood meal prices averaged US$82.83/tonne above July and US$251.23/tonne higher than August 2007, at US$935.83/tonne.
Demand from Indonesia has slowed at the beginning of September, while the Chinese market became more active after the Olympic Games.
