Brazil's agriculture income rises by 16 percent on higher soy trade
   

 

Brazil's agricultural sector will see its income rise 16 percent to BRL160.6 billion (US$91.5 billion) in 2008 compared to 2007, the Agriculture Ministry said Wednesday (September 10).

 

Total income will be buoyed by 30.6 percent higher soy income and 20.4 percent higher coffee income this year versus 2007.

 

Brazil is the world's second largest producer and exporter of soy behind the US.
