China's Jilin province strengthens agricultural cooperation with Russia

Northeast China's Jilin Province is to strengthen cooperation with Russia in the agricultural sector by providing products.

Supplies on the list include corn, rice, deep-processed products, pork, beef and chicken.

Jilin would also offer animal breeding technologies and other production and processing technologies in the agriculture sector to its partner.

Key agricultural companies in Jilin would also be encouraged to start operations in Russia.

Jilin currently produces 25 million tonnes of grains a year and 3.4 million tonnes of meat and poultry.

The province has been the top meat and grain producer in China ( on a per capita basis) in recent years.
