India's soymeal exports drop from previous year's record

 


India's soymeal exports in August 2015 had recorded lower than the same month last year, at 769 tonnes compared to 2,778 tonnes in 2014. The volume marked a 72.33% drop, according to the Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA).

 

For the period during April 2015 to August 2015, exports recorded at 35,858 tonnes compared to 96,201 tonnes in the same period in 2014. The volume represents a 62.73% drop.

 

For October 2014 to August 2015, exports fell 71.59% from the same period last year, recording 585,485 tonnes against 2,060,782 tonnes.

 

Compiled by SOPA, these data does not include rail- and road-based soymeal exports to Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
