High production costs raise Delhi milk prices
Milk prices in Delhi have increased up to $0.20 in the last two years due to high production costs, according to the Indian government.
Prices of double toned milk and toned milk have increased five times, with net hike of US$0.13 per litre each, Minister of State for Agriculture Charan Das Mahant said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha (upper house).
Price of full cream milk increased five times with net increase of $0.20 per litre by Delhi Milk Scheme and Mother Dairy in Delhi during last two years, the minister said.
