China Trace Minerals: Production costs increase (week ended Sep 4, 2023)

Producers of trace mineral products held prices stable in the domestic market. However, export prices moved lower as renminbi depreciated.
Copper sulphate export prices were at US$2.65/kg. Transact prices consolidated in the range of RMB18.50-19.20/kg in China.
Export prices and of ferrous sulphate rose to US$0.27/kg and transact prices were stable to lower to the range of RMB1.85-1.96/kg.
For zinc sulphate, export prices were stable at US$1.05/kg while local transact prices were in the range of RMB6.50-7.61/kg.
Meanwhile, zinc oxide export prices stayed flat at US2.73/kg, whereas local transact prices strengthened to the range of RMB19.70-19.80/kg.
While export prices move increased to US$0.55/kg, manganese sulphate were in the range of RMB3.20-3.92/kg in China.
Prices of trace minerals are likely to move higher as the costs of production increase with sulphuric acid costs increased.
