China's August soy import estimated at 3.85 million tonnes
 

 

China's soy imports delivered in August are expected to reach 3.85 million tonnes, down 19.29% from year-ago period, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Friday (Sep 2).

 

The ministry also predicted the soy imports in September would reach 3.21 million tonnes.

 

The report is based on importers' shipments from August 1 to 15. The MOC regularly releases its estimate twice a month.

 

The data from the General Administration of Customs show that China's soy imports reached 5.35 million tonnes in July, up 8% over the same period of last year.
