Scotland's salmon producer Alfesca rings in healthy profits
Salmon producer Alfesca has just announced a 28-percent increase in net profits of EUR 28.6-million for the financial year 2007-2008.
Sales were up by nine percent to EUR 647.4 million. The company also recorded a EUR 3.5 million net profit in the fourth quarter of its operating year.
Alfesca owns Farne Salmon and Trout, one of Scotland's largest salmon producers and its English counterpart Lyons Seafoods.
Farne Salmon plays a major part in Alfesca's seafood operations, supplying many of Britain's major supermarkets.
