China to set up raw milk price control system
A price control system for raw milk would soon be set up in China to prevent price fluctuations, according to a joint statement by various state agencies.
The statement was released by China's National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
A third party would also be needed to set up to assess milk quality from producers as currently milk companies set their own prices based on quality, according to Liu Wenqi, General Secretary of the Municipal Dairy Association.
