China Broiler: AA broiler market stays firm amid high hog prices (week ended Aug 28, 2020)

Slaughterhouses continued to expand chicken inventories, albeit more prudently after prices moved higher. With hog prices staying high and likely to surge further, demand for chicken products remained promising hence lending support to AA broiler market.

Compared with the previous week, average AA broiler price inched higher 0.41%. AA chick prices were stable to lower.

AA broiler prices are projected to stay firm although the upward scope of the market is limited due to cautious mood. AA chick prices are seen soft with supplies abundant and farmers treading prudently.
