Taiwan purchases 60,000 tonnes of Brazilian soy
The Taichung branch of Taiwan's Breakfast Soy Procurement Association (BSPA) bought 60,000 tonnes of Brazilian soy on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Thursday (Sep 1), traders said.
The purchase was from Bunge at US$1.6950 a bushel over the January futures contract.
The deal is on a cost-and freight-basis and shipment is scheduled for November 6-20.
Last month, BSPA's Kaohsiung branch purchased a soy cargo at US$2.0350/bushel over CBOT November futures when the contract was trading around US$13.2950 a bushel.
