China Ningxia Province to Buy 12,750 MT New Crop Wheat Sept. 6

China will hold a grain tender this week to buy new crop wheat, local traders said on Sept. 2, citing an official notice from Ningxia Grain and Oils Wholesale Market.

In the tender scheduled Sept. 6, the local grain warehouse in Ningxia province, Northwestern China, plans to buy 12,750 metric tons of new crop hard wheat, the notice said. The delivery period is set between Sept. 6 and Oct. 30, 2003.

China holds grain auctions and tenders each year to replace old stocks held by the government with new crop grain.

Starting July, China held several grain auctions to sell old crop grain.
