Brazil's Andre Maggi may market GM soy to EU
Brazilian soy company Group Andre Maggi will launch a new marketing effort about so-called "sustainable GMO" for transgenic soy bound for anti-transgenic Europe, business daily Valor Economico reported on Friday (August 29).
The company said it would create high labour and environmental standards for the transgenic soy, in an effort to minimize criticism against transgenic soy in Europe.
Brazil is the world's No. 2 soy exporter after the US.
