Novozymes sets up factory for ethanol enzymes in Nebraska
Novozymes is setting up an enzyme factory in Blair, Nebraska, producing enzymes for corn-based ethanol producers.
The plant, estimated to cost US$ 80–100 million, would later provide enzymes for cellulosic ethanol producers.
The facility would bring approximately 100 new jobs to the state initially.
The factory will be located on a 30-acre property at the Biorefinery Campus in Blair and Novozymes expects to break ground in late 2008 with operations beginning in late 2010.
