China methionine market remains stable despite soft demand
Prices of methionine remained flat during the week ending August 30.
Demand for methionine remained flat as poultry feed millers withheld purchases prudently.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were in the range of RMB27.20-28/kg.
Egg prices are expected to rise during early September as the making of moon cakes increase in the coming weeks with Mid-Autumn Festival approaching. This will help to perk up the demand for methionine as feed sales improve.
