Uzbekistan's H1 grain output grows 254.3%

 

 

The growth rate of industrial production at the enterprises of Uzbekistan's Uzdonmahsulot totalled to 140.6% in H1 2011 compared with the same period in 2010, while consumer goods output added 142.3%.

 

Compared to the same period of last year, flour production growth rate amounted to 143%, combined feed production – 112.9%, production of grain - 254.3%, pasta - 109.3%, Uzdonmahsulot informed.

 

In the first half of 2011 16 seed-cleaning plants were modernised and three new seed-cleaning facilities we built and commissioned within the Program of modernisation, technical and technological renovation by new technology of German company Petkus.

 

Namangan and Syrdaryo regions launched new grain shops with modern equipment.

 

During the reporting period closed containers designed for 98 tonnes of grain were constructed and comissioned.

 

Based on the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan PP-1442 of December 15, 2010 and PP-1455 of December 29, 2010 the implementation of 44 projects, including 20 investment projects were defined in the industry for 2011.

 

Currently, joint-stock company Kokon Don Mahsulotlari is modernizing a mill with capacity of 500 tonnes per day and a combined feed shop with capacity of 120 tonnes per day; Ohangoron Don company is commissioning a workshop for the production of combined feed of 90 tonnes per day capacity. Construction and launch of new plants for the production of animal feed based on modern technologies at joint stock companies Juma elevator, Surhondaryodonmahsulotlari and Sariosiyo don is underway.
