German grain crop decreases this year
Germany's grain crop decreases 12% in yearly terms and amounted to 39 million tonnes this year, German Farmers Association DBV said.
The harvest of rapeseed also declined 34% on year to 3.7 million tonnes.
According to DBV, the poor harvest was caused by extreme weather conditions during the entire blooming period. Thus, the grain crop fell to the level of the dry and hot year 2003.
