Market analysis

Lysine prices were stable to higher while feed millers increased stockpiles in preparation for the pre-Mid-autumn Festival market while producers limited output. Nonetheless, as several buyers turned cautious due to sifter soymeal prices and high hog disease rates, price hikes of lysine were limited.

In Europe, price quotes remained in the range of EUR1.23-1.30/kg.

Market forecast

Lysine producers will stand firm with output limited. However, as buyers become cautious, sales of lysine are unlikely to increase tremendously. Lysine prices are therefore expected to stay around current levels in the coming week.
