Nutriad opens new US plant

Feed additives producer Nutriad officially opened its new facility in Hampshire, Illinois, US.

The 4,600+ square metre facility includes offices, a laboratory, a warehouse and has a production capacity of 3,000 tonnes.

During a ceremony with customers, distributors, suppliers, engineers, local authorities and employees, Nutriad CEO Erik Visser said, "The grand opening of our state-of-the-art facility underscores our commitment to the North American market. It enables us to grow our business while becoming fully compliant with all industry regulations. Together with our distribution partners we are well positioned to take further leadership in the specialty additive industry."

The new plant is fitted with the latest vapour and dust mitigation equipment to provide employee safety and comfort. It will also allow for full traceability and compliance with bio-security measures, FSMA safety plans and numerous new federal regulations.

As the new facility houses all activities under one roof, it will enable Nutriad to more effectively coordinate its production activities and supply chain across six Nutriad warehouses that are strategically located across the US, Canada and Mexico.
