Pilgrim's Pride combines two chicken hatchery operations
Pilgrim's Pride is transferring its chicken hatchery in De Queen to Nashville to improve efficiency and to make the Nashville hatchery more productive, according to the company's spokeswoman Margaret McDonald.
McDonald says the 21 workers at the De Queen plant will be offered jobs at other Pilgrim's Pride operations in southwest Arkansas.
Operations at the De Queen facility are to be shut down September 16.
