DuPont teams up with Bunge to promote soy as meat alternative
DuPont has teamed up with Bunge Limited to create The Solae Company, to cater to food producers looking for sustainable, environmentally sound agricultural options.
The Solae Company operates in over 100 countries worldwide and produces a full range of soy ingredient products, including textured vegetable proteins, textured and functional soy concentrates and isolates, and polymers.
The new company would focus on is soy as a meat-protein alternative based on the selling point that it is less resource-intensive.
The alliance that created Solae is part of DuPont's food industry growth strategy and showcases the benefits of soy products as a sustainable alternative to animal products.
