China methionine prices stabilise on tighter supply, improving demand
Prices of methionine stayed unchanged during the week ending August 23.
As the supplies of liquid methionine tightened, prompting producers to stand firm on prices, China's methionine market remained stable during the period in review.
Although egg prices strengthened considerably of late amid growing demand, sales of methionine showed little improvement as feed producers remained prudent.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were in the range of RMB27.20-28/kg.
