Peruvian poultry company to build modern hatchery

Peruvian broiler and breeder company Avicola As de Oro, has enlisted Petersime's support in building its new and modern hatchery in Lima, Peru.

This will be Avicola's fourth hatchery in Lima as it strives to optimise environmental conditions and improve embryo development. The new hatchery will be fully equipped with Petersime's single-stage AirSteamerTM concept feature Bio-Response IncubationTM control that will constantly diagnoses the embryo and interactively optimises the incubation environment for each specific batch of eggs.

Upon completion, the company would be able to increase its total capacity to 1.3 million chicks per week, accounting for 20 percent of Peru's market production.

Avícola As de Oro is a subsidiary of the AgroVet group, a company with an agricultural and a veterinarian division. The veterinary division covers a range of activities, from pharmaceuticals to rearing, incubation and processing. Avicola As de Oro currently owns and manages three hatcheries with 24 large multi-stage incubators in operation.
