Tight supply holds China lysine prices firm despite slow demand
Lysine prices remained stable during the week ending August 22.
Limited availability of the product lent support to lysine market. Nonetheless, demand for feed from the hog sector showed little improvement as inventories of large hogs were limited, hence prompting feed millers to keep production low to be on the safe side.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were unchanged in the range of RMB9.20-9.50/kg.
Lysine prices are seen stable to moderately higher.
