UAE's Sharjah starts construction of largest egg facility in the Middle East

 
 

The UAE's Sharjah Agriculture Development Corporation (SADC) has embarked upon a 120 million dirham (AED) (US$32.67 million ) egg production project, which is to occupy a total area of one million square foot.

 

The project is to be executed in four phases over two years at the Seeh Al Lebsa area in Sharjah.

 

According to the Khaleej Times, the facility would produce 3,500 cartons of egg per day.

 

Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid Al Qasimi, proprietor and board chairman of the SADC said the project would, upon completion, be the biggest egg producer in the Middle East.

 

Phase 1 of the project, when completed within the next six months, will have an output of 750 cartons of egg per day.
